Will only consider EXPERIENCE FAMILY LAW PARALEGAL for this position.
The ideal candidate will have 5-10 plus years of CURRENT FLORIDA family law experience, some post high school education, (not a requirement), be a self-starter with minimal direction, and have a superior work ethic.
I am getting ready to retire and have about 15-20 cases left and need someone to work with me part time to help me close out my cases.
This is a part time temporary, contract position and hours are flexible.
Must understand family cases, be personable and understand all the procedures for a family law case, from the start of the case to close, including, but not limited to calendaring important dates, such as discovery deadlines, and other important due dates and deadlines, hearings, etc.
and keeping client lists with updated information, maintaining electronic files, drafting of family law pleadings, setting hearings, and being familiar with the family law Judge's preferences for Pinellas and Hillsborough Counties, setting appointments for clients and new clients (uncontested only), filing, discovery process, uploading to portals (JAWS, etc.
) setting up and closing out files and billing, with minimal direction.
Initially, this is in office, however, as cases close out, this can be a remote working position.
Must live locally.
MUST BE:
proficient with the internet, tech savvy, and have the ability to work under pressure, if necessary, and be extremely well-organized.
Must be proficient in Microsoft Word, Outlook, Google Calendar, Adobe, Drop Box, Docusign, ZOOM, Quick Books, One Drive, computers, printers, etc.
